For example we know backpackers never book our tours, or certain cultures that are always on the hunt for the cheapest possible "everything" will rarely book a tour with us, and honestly, we're okay with that. We know we're not for everyone. There are much cheaper tour operators that can say "We're just the same as Expedition Bali Tours, only cheaper" because we are the market leader in what we do. So let's answer those questions: Why does Expedition Bali Tours only have one 4x4? Because we cater for just one market. Our particular guests require (not want) "Professional, Personal, Comfortable & Fun" This means our tours are exclusive. If the 4x4 is booked for a tour, on a day, at a time, that's it, the 4x4 is booked. One guest, or our best... 23 guests, it doesn't matter, that date at that time is booked regardless of who else wants the tour. We can organise more 4x4's, however, those 4x4's won't be our 4x4. The main guests ride in our 4x4, the rest of the guests we organise more 4x4's for. However, your day, your tour. One 4x4, has us sought after and booked sometimes years in advance. Why do you have so few staff? More staff! Why? More staff is more about the ego of the owner of a business than providing a great experience for the guests. We want our guests to experience the best guide on every tour. Our travel agents experience the best admin staff, and the best sales staff. There are three of us running the business. There's no space for ego's to exist at Expedition Bali Tours. Why are your tours more expensive? There are a number of reasons why we're not the cheapest tour operator in Bali. The number one reason, "We have no desire to be the cheapest tour operator, we aim to maintain being the best" . However, we'll list the differences here for you: We have insurance. Most if any of the tour operators in Bali, let alone Kintamani, won't have insurance, we do. We have one of the best tour guides in Kintamani, for this, we pay more. We have the best 'purpose built for tourists' 4x4 in Kintamani, possibly Bali. Our 4x4 is fully paid up in registration. (STNK) this isn't "well of course" in Bali. All of our tours are private tours. We don't make up the numbers. You, and your family and or friends are our number one priority. We're the only tour operator to pass the SGS / Tui Musement safety audit in Kintamani. We've been awarded "A Grade" status for safety and conservation on Destination Asia's safety and conservation ranking system. As a consequence, Destination Asia will be putting the guests through us in 2025. We service our 4x4 every 5000km instead of the recommended 10,000km. This ensures fewer breakdowns and your safety isn't compromised. Our guide is one of the few guides that is First Aid trained in the entire KIntamani region. Every guest we have on every tour gets a gift unique to that tour. This gift has been carefully considered to be able to get back to the guests home country without taking up extra space in their luggage, and have a practical purpose. "Ketut" speaks multiple languages, allowing guests from diverse backgrounds to access the information in their preferred language.
